This is a play\support group for parents who have children with autism spectrum disorders. Because children on the autism spectrum can have difficulty making and maintaining friendships, they might enjoy meeting children with the same challenges, especially as they grow older. They can form bonds with children who also wish to be understood by others. If it is in accelerated programs or just extra support, we are a group of involved parents and educators looking to give our children the best educational opportunity. I have raised two children one with Aspergers and one with Dyslexia. I have learned a few things along the way that I would like to share.
