Introduction
I am an adult who recently has been diagnosed with ADD. Iwant to join this group to learn and try to understand why I cant focus without medication. I think I would benefit from others in the same situation.
When were you diagnosed or if you weren't, when did you first suspect ADD?
I was diagnosed a year ago when I went back to college. I was never really organized and always tried to do many things at the same time. I never really could focus on one task at a time.
How far back do your symptoms go?
As far back as i can remember. I did not realize that I had symptoms I thought that it was the way every one was.
ADD can bring some strong postives. What are yours?
When I can focus I give 100% to the task at hand.
What medications/treatements have you tried?
Ritalin is the only medication that I have tried and seemed to have success with it.
What three areas do you have the most difficulty with?
staying focused, completing tasks and organization.

"Is ther a way to get to the Jackson Mann community center by the MBTA ? I would be coming from chelsea and think I would have to take the green line? Would I also have to take a bus? thanks, susan"
