Hello everyone! Now that our first meetup has come and gone, I'm looking for ideas for the next meetup. Please let me know if you have any ideas for locations and activities for future meetups. At this time, the only places that come to mind are McDonald's or my house. I think air conditioned, contained areas are best this time of year. I certainly don't mind hosting a meetup - we have a large fenced backyard. We also have a pool - which is a great way to cool off and entertain the kids but it might be hard to keep the kids away from the pool if for some reason parents don't want them in the pool. The lure of the pool is strong!
Anyway, please let me know if you have any ideas. All suggestions are welcome. Leslie |

1. Your pool sounds great. But I only have one to look after and she can swim. We can definitely all pitch in for food. (Provided it goes better than the one I went to yesterday. Rrrgghh, but I don't see that happening with you gals.)
2. How about Jumpin Jaks on 1960? I will try to remember to call tomorrow to get pricing. But Ana's soccer team had a party there and for like (I want to say) $5.00 per person we had a party room, pizza and drinks. Either way, not outrageously priced. 3. I suggest we make it June 14th, it can be a combined Father's day picnic. Either way, so far I'm open in June except early on the 7th. Thanks so much Leslie for doing this!! |

Here is another idea.
Skating!! Again, this can get costly for someone like Becky with 4 children. I don't plan on skating so for me it would only be $6.00 for Ana, plus concessions. Also, I have never been so I do not know how crowded it gets or anything. |

Thanks for the ideas, Jessica! I've never heard of this skating place. I would like to take my kids there some time. They've never skated before but they might like to try it out. I never was much of a roller skater when I was growing up - I kept falling on my behind! Has your daughter been roller skating before?
Jumping Jaks is a great place. We had my daughter's fourth birthday party there recently. I think they are only open to larger group parties on weekends. At this point, we will probably have only a few show up for the June meetup. I know they are open for free play on weekdays only (I think - I could be wrong). If you hear different, please let me know. I think our best bet at this point might be my house. It's inexpensive and we have toys and entertainment for kids of different ages - like Becky's kids. So far, Sat. June 14 looks good for us. It's Father's Day/Flag Day/ and the weekend before my husband's birthday but we don't plan on celebrating until Sunday 6/15. Let's wait a few days to give others a chance to respond with their ideas before we set a meetup time and place. I really appreciate your suggestions! Leslie |

I think we may have taken Ana skating once. I am pretty sure I tried to get on skates too, but it was too hard!!! lol. I think she would enjoy it if it isn't too loud.
