ADD Solutions is dedicated to finding and uniting people and causes that bring positive change to the world of ADD. ADD Solutions' efforts focus on ADD, because when 5% - 7% of our children are confronting medical and social issues with ADD daily, communities need to get involved! But, ADD Solutions is also about creating tools and programs that bring positive action and change to everyone ? even if they don't have ADD. Today's research and programs about attention deficit disorder give us incredibly valuable tools to help EVERYONE under stress, multi-tasking, and living with today's technology, through both daily and troubled or difficult times. Ironically, we can turn the negative experiences and stigmatizing effects of dealing with disadvantages and disabilities into powerful positive tools that help everyone living in a busy, stressed-out world. Programs and events bring healthy living concepts to individuals, groups and communities. ADD Solutions puts together fun, food, activities, and learning, and makes great "Amazing, Dynamic, High-Density" experiences happen for all sorts of people, in all sorts of schools, groups and communities.

About your presenter and host: Sharon Slayton is a subject matter expert and professional consultant in the fields of personal, professional and organizational development. She has spent more than 15 years designing models and training people in "life systems" that create and foster positive personal, educational, business, and career change. As an ISP for the CA Dept. of Rehab, Sharon specializes in creating and delivering courses, workshops, and personal consultations for clients with ADD and other learning and physical disabilities. Her unique AD/HD seminars and workshops blend biological, psychological, environmental and professional realities into a planned roadmap for managing and accomplishing transformational change in challenging situations, and for the ADD person's daily and future success.
Sharon Slayton holds a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California at Berkeley, and an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix. Since she and her two children have AD/HD, and because she spent more than 15 years? in the information technology industry, Sharon's interests after graduation centered on a unique and powerful observation ? people engaged and being affected by complex technology change acted "just like people with ADD." She began applying ADD research with project and organizational change work in the information technology industry and achieved award-winning results.
Today, with the help of Dr. Stephen Hinshaw, Ph.D., Chair of the Dept. of Psychology at UC Berkeley, Sharon is organizing this work into her doctoral studies. Sharon also collaborates on youth programs and workshop designs with: Dr. Hinshaw, and with Dr. Nina Ghiselli, Psy.D., Director of Disability Services at Alliant International University and Adult Chair of the East Bay LDA, Lorraine Pursell, MA BCET (The Family You Want Radio Hour KSCO 1080am in Northern CA), William Lane, Ph.D., President of Freedom Through Education Campus and Administrator of SCOE's Sacramento Community Based Coalition, Dr. Fredrick Moore, Ph.D., President of Building Diversity In Science and the Scientific Empowerment Movement, and others. She is a published web author and regular "expert" contributor for Demand Studios on eHow.com http://www.ehow.com/m..., and writes a monthly feature column for radio personality and Educational Therapist, Lorraine Pursell, http://www.lorrainepu..., on "Connecting Life with ADD", and with whom she is producing a 2008 Seminar Series on "Connecting Kids with ADD."
