ADHD & Special Education Support Issues of Denton County

This group was orginally about ADHD/ADD issues for Denton County Parents/ Caregivers. This group is still intended for those issues...however as I've been holiding this group I have witnessed how many times children have co-existing disorders with their ADHD. Regardless of your child's special needs if you have any special issues that you face with your children, assistance is still needed. I wanted to create this place so that people in Denton County would have a way to navigate around these special issues. It can get confusing to advocate and get specific help that your child is needing if you don't know the resources in the area and you don't know how to ask. Learning the ropes about the "special education" process with the schools can be challenging also. If we come together as a group we can help each other and our children to have a better fit educationally and personally in their lives and ours. We meet at a resturant in the communtity once a month so that we can have an informal and neutral setting for parents to meet each other, make friends, ask each other questions, and to gain knowledge and resources so that you can better assist your child and yourself.
